Admission Process

Sanctioned Intake: 60 students per year

Eligibility:

  • Candidate should be an Indian National
  • Passed HSC Science with Physics & Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with Mathematics or Biology (Botany & Zoology)

Reservation: As per Hon. Supreme Court judgement dated 31/10/2002 (W.P. (C) No. 317 of 1993) and State Government directives

Centralized Admission Process (CAP): All admissions are done through CAP managed by the Competent Authority.

Stages of CAP:

  • Information Brochure: Published online by the Competent Authority
  • Online Application Form:
    • Admission advertised in newspapers
    • Fill out online as per schedule
    • Edit/update allowed before confirmation at Facilitation Centre (FC)
    • Pay non-refundable application fees online
  • Upload Documents: Scanned copies of original documents as required
  • Document Verification: e-Scrutiny online or Physical Scrutiny at FC
  • Merit List: Provisional & final merit list published online; grievance window available
  • Seat Matrix & Online Option Form: Category-wise seat availability; confirm institute & course preferences
  • Seat Allotment & Reporting: Display provisional allotment; report to ARC as per schedule
  • Time Schedule: Strict adherence mandatory

CAP Rounds Explained:

  • Round I: First preference auto-freeze; report to institute. Other preferences allow betterment rounds.
  • Rounds II & III: Follow similar rules; refer official brochure.

Final Admission at Institute:

  • Report to allotted institute and submit required documents
  • Institute uploads admission details and provides system-generated confirmation and fee receipt

Institutional Quota & Vacant Seats Post-CAP:

Filled by the institute Director/Principal

Admission Cancellation & Fee Refund:

  • Apply online for cancellation
  • Submit signed hard copy of cancellation application to institute
  • Admission considered cancelled once request is submitted
